Shawsett Training & Safety is pleased to announce the addition of two new staff members to our already fantastic team. Paul Little and Gary Smith will significantly enhance our training and consulting capacity and capabilities in Working at Heights, Confined Spaces, First Aid and Emergency Services.
Paul is a former ambulance paramedic and mine site ERT professional, who also has 20+ years of experience with the Volunteer Fire Brigade. He has previously managed a private ambulance service where he was responsible for planning and managing events such as City to Surf and various music festivals. Paul has also had several years’ training experience and owned and operated his own first aid training and equipment business for several years. As such, he is well placed to assist us in the process of developing new courses to expand our scope.
Gary is a former Signaller with the British Army, and has 10+ years’ experience working at heights as a Rigger. Gary has previously been employed as a driver trainer with RAC, as well as conducting training for clients such as Rio Tinto and BHP Billiton on mine sites including Working Safely at Heights, Confined Spaces, Monitoring Hazardous Atmospheres, Permit Issuing and Hot Works. He also has experience conducting onsite inspections, consulting, developing rescue plans and providing standby rescue options for various clients.
We look forward to the opportunity to introduce these new employees to both existing and new clients.
If you feel that either Paul or Gary can be of specific assistance to your organisation, please don’t hesitate to contact us.
