Driver Awareness Course
Course Overview:
This course incorporates the unit of competency RIIVEH201B from the Resource and Infrastructure Training Package.
It is utilised by Major Government Industry as an induction requirement and the course meets the requirements of Mining Companies Driving in a 4WD to gain Site Access.
The course can be conducted in Sedans or 4WD, and when conducted in 4WD, the course trains participants to drive a light commercial 4WD on prepared road surfaces, utilising 4WD when grip levels are appropriate.
Course Duration & Conditions:
The Course is generally a full day course and is run utilising a training session with excellent video demonstrations, followed by an on road practical drive through suburban, highway and gravel roads.
Rates are available based on individual attendance and group rates of up to 4 participants per one trainer.
Who Should Attend:
This course is designed for drivers requiring entry to Mining Sites, or agencies wishing to develop a safer driving culture, or employers who wish to improve or refresh safe driving knowledge, particularly for drivers that encounter country and gravel driving.
Driver Safety Seminar
Course Overview:
This Seminar provides an interactive environment that considers the task of driving and what is required to drive safely. Incorporating Road Safety Research, Legal Requirements and Risk Perception, the seminar aims to raise the motivation of participants to drive to a greater standard.
Course Duration:
The seminar runs for four hours with the option of adding a four hour on-road session for groups of three or four per vehicle with one trainer per vehicle.
Who Should Attend:
Designed for larger groups, this course is effective for up to 12 people and suits employers or community groups who wish to effectively reassess and improve driving abilities and review legal driving requirements.
