Area Fire Warden Course
Course Overview:
The Area Warden equips Emergency Control Personnel with the skills required to safely carry out their duties consistent with their responsibilities. The course is conducted within the guidelines of Australian Standards AS 3745-1995, with particular attention given to the requirements under Section 3 – Training.
Course Duration & Conditions:
One day training courses will be conducted on site to allow for practical familiarisation of evacuation routes and requirements. Courses may be conducted at your premises or ours, with group sizes up to twelve. Course format will concentrate on site specific requirements and general guidelines as listed within the Australian Standard AS3745-1995.
Who Should Attend:
Emergency Control Personnel with responsibilities within any existing Emergency Response and Evacuation Procedures.
Fire Extinguisher Training Course
Course Overview:
A half day training course aimed at providing course participants with the basic knowledge of the theory of fire, the practical knowledge of the safe and correct use of fire extinguishing mediums, and the information to check the operating equipment for fighting fires in general workplace setting.
The course is a Nationally Recognised Course that includes the unit of competency TLIF1807B Operate fire fighting equipment and the Unit PRMPFES05B from the Asset Maintenance Training Package.
The training program involves a theory session, utilising power point and video footage, followed by a building inspection and walk through, and then a simulated fire extinguishment activity to demonstrate correct selection use of extinguishers.
