Quad Bike Training
The Quad Bike Course represents a unique operator requirement due to its diverse application and particular design characteristics.
Course Overview:
Shawsett Training has developed a training course to assist participants to:
- Identify and operate the controls of the vehicle
- Stop the vehicle in a safe and controlled manner
- Turn the vehicle left and right to various degrees safely
- Negotiate hills and obstacles safely
- Be able to place loads upon the vehicle without interference to the safe operation of the vehicle.
The course has been developed in consultation with the Agriculture Department of WA and considers all relevant WORKSAFE legislation to ensure an effective occupational training program. This course is of particular benefit to Agricultural users of All Terrain Vehicles.
Course Duration:
One Day Courses are available.
Who Should Attend:
Any user of a Quad Bike in an Occupational setting such as Agriculture and Mining workers. The course operates on a ratio of 1 trainer to 6 participants with 2 or 3 Bikes supplied by the client.
4WD Training
Four Wheel Drive Awareness Course
Course Overview:
This Course is designed for those that need to drive off prepared roads into soft sand, steep slopes and rocky terrain. The course incorporates the Unit of Competency TLIC2025A (2507B) Operate Four Wheel Drive Vehicle from the Transport and Logistics Training Package.
Course Duration:
One full day with rates based on single participants or groups of three to four participants and one trainer per vehicle.
Who Should Attend:
This course is designed for the driver that utilises a 4WD as part of their normal activities and is required to be aware of safe techniques and how to safely use basic recovery equipment.
Occupational Four Wheel Drive Course
Course Overview:
This course develops advanced four-wheel driving techniques and recovery methods, andconsiders remote area safety management principles. The course incorporates the unit of competency Operate Four Wheel Drive TLIC2025A.
Course Duration:
This course is run over two days and requires one four-wheel drive for every three participants with one instructor per vehicle.
Who Should Attend:
This course is designed for the occupational driver who requires more extensive knowledge of recovery equipment and safe operating techniques and often is required to work in remote areas.
