Course Overview:
The Professional Ambulance Driving Course is a specific course that utilises the extensive experience of highly qualified Ambulance Paramedic Driver Trainers. The course provides participants with advanced skills, knowledge and attitudes necessary for the safe and expedient operation in both emergency and non emergency conditions, of normal on road ambulances, mine site ambulances and rescue vehicles where patient extrication, care and on going treatment is provided.
Course Duration and Conditions:
The course is conducted over two weeks and incorporates the Nationally Recognised Unit of Competency HLTAMBT301A Transport Non Emergency Clients Under Opertional Conditions, from the Health Training Package. Outcomes for this course are available on the National Training Information Service.
Who Should Attend:
This course is designed for Professional Ambulance Officers or those planning to become such. A two day course also is available for Part Time and Volunteer Ambulance Officers.
